In his ninetieth anniversary?€¦ the fighter courageous historic knight who has not dismounted his horse

By Mohammad Yaseen
We have received a few days ago the ninetieth anniversary of our brave Iraqi army festival, the chief of leaders and the great victorious army.
In his ninetieth anniversary the Iraqis recall the valor and epics of their unparalleled army and recollect, with all sincerity and devotion, the sacrifices and struggles of the armed forces members and cadres whose pure blood irrigated the soil of the dear homeland, made heavy sacrifices for it and for their grand nation, they sacrificed their pure lives in defense of the supreme ideals, the values and principles they had brought up to in an ideological school par excellence, which is the oldest, the holiest of its kind among its counterparts in the neighboring countries and the world.

On the 6th of December of each year the Iraqis, from far north to far south, celebrate a sacred national day in which Iraq and the Arabs have come to possess an army to be boasted of, and have come to have a formidable force that defends and protects Iraq, its ancient history and majestic civilization, and has become one of the most sacred national tokens for Iraqi people and a safety valve for the unity of Iraq and the cohesion of its people, thus our ideological army has been the broad umbrella for our people and the greatest leader and the witness to the struggles of Iraqis; however, our bold army participated in all Arab battles and wars and gained by this heroic honorific role the love and confidence all neighbors and friends in the world, for the members of our brave valiant army made momentous sacrifices and offered their lives gratis for the sake of the lofty honor and their nation building on their faith in their authentic creed, and they, our valiant knights, did not wait for any thanks and praise from the brothers, as such, our military has performed the honorable role to the fullest and, our Sakers, were heroic in the defense of the Arab brothers in their crises and ordeals, and participated in their wars defending them with incomparable faith that Iraq is the most important member in the Arab body and that their sacrifices in the Arab honor battles are a duty upon them not a commission towards their brothers; but, regrettably, many of the brothers did not maintain the promise and keep the good turn and appreciate the sacrifices of Iraqi people and their valiant military, so gratitude has not come yet even lately at a time in which Iraq and its people are passing thru the darkest times and most acute trials, wherein our people has been subjected to various forms of death, and been maliciously plotted against but the brothers did nothing to counteract them or assist our people during its weak period; we, on quite the opposite, provided our supplies and support while we were strong to our Arab brothers, and have not given too little and history bears witness to that.

So, what the brothers have offered to Iraq? Some of them took part in the plots being hatched and concocted against Iraq, some of them ignored them completely and the others dealt with our people shyly, but he characteristic that distinguish Iraqis is that they do not forget who stood by them in their ordeals, who ignored them and who shut the doors up in their faces, we are surely confident and certain and strongly believe that a great giant named Iraq will wake up and shake off years of humiliation, subjugation and weakness and sooner or later distress, which alighted on our homeland and our people,  will fade, and while the metals of men are unfolded, some showed genuine metal, good origin and kind descent, they are who do not accept humiliation and disgrace to their home country, deny the vanishing and extinction of their culture, history, and identity and they are still the knights and valiant men who stand up firmly and courageously against the plots being hatched against our people, and they believe in Iraq unity and in its people much as they do in the Almighty Creator; while some revealed a fake vile metal carrying unhealthy doctrines governed by their instincts and desires and moved by opportunism, and they are diligently working to break up and divide Iraq and its people.

No subtle difference exists between any two Iraqis that our military, and since its foundation, was for all of Iraq and became a national symbol of the most sacred expressing the unity of Iraq from north to south, and we have a high faith and confidence in that the knights of the military will stay the safety valve for our unity, and those who are skeptical or represent our military as an instrument in the hands of rulers and their regimes that dominated Iraq in some early periods should understand that our military had not been a tool in the hands of rulers, albeit some who were reckoned falsely and untruly among the military doctrinal institution for they do not represent the military doctrine but only themselves. Our military did not and will not belong to any ruler or regime but only for Iraq all of Iraq. Here we extend a salutation of homage and veneration preceded by a bow to our brave military, that knight fighter who has not dismount his horse in its ninetieth commemoration, and a greeting of loyalty, pledge and devotion from free faithful hearts which believe in Iraq as they do in God and the people of Iraq and much as they do in Mohammad, Jesus, Moses and the prophets of God altogether, so a salute to the knights of our military forces, the living and martyrs thereof, for you have inscribed a golden lines on the pages of history and you are still writing lines of glory and honor, so a salutation to you the Sakers and knights of the military in the fields of struggle and resistance.
