The Ministry of Education ?€¦ and endurance of students

Political editor

All civilized, moderate and even poor systems of the world care to develop strategies and policies for the foundations of bringing up and preparing of generations, especially children and young people, and they employ standard methods and programs in order to enlighten there minds and senses so far from politics and its complexities, but what is going on in new Iraq today exceeds and crosses all norms and laws practiced in the poorest countries, for the Ministry is on one side while the students' state of affairs and the course of events are on the other, for there are many and huge difficulties impede the march of science and learning in our country, the inventor of the first letter, so the Ministry of Education should take into consideration the suffering of our valued students of  daily challenges in some matters, for example, the Ministry knows well that there is a difference in the curricula, and this is what the students suffer from who live on the territory soil, and the number of schools for Arab students is  few and that issue needs coordination at higher level between the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of  Region in order to develop a specific mechanism to address this pending and complex difficulty, but as regards the entire country there are complicated problems and a severe shortage in the number of school seats for there are students who sit on the floor not to mention the delay that seems deliberate in the distribution of  books and stationery, especially when abruptly, for instance, the English language is added to the third primary class, this is something new and causes a great confusion among students, and the lack of vital necessities like facilities of health and electricity in most schools; and also, there are regions lacking schools altogether, so the student has to walk long distances causing him problems with school administration because of delays, especially those with limited income, the poor and the destitute, and who, by the way,  believes that Iraq, the country of oil, still has old schools built of mud and others constructed of wood, tents and metal containers, as well as countless immeasurable challenges, though the Ministry knows well about the fragile and deteriorated security condition in Iraq and what might reflect on the psyche of student, disrupt his concentration and fill with fear of the unknown, that could happen or occur while on his way to school or could happen to him in school, so how he can focus on the teaching material in cold winter and hot summer, that in addition to another problem concerning the newly appointed incompetent teachers as the Ministry accepts the lowest rates from the College of Education nonchalant at the same time that students are a trust in their custody and this a sacred and national duty in education career, but regrettably, reality is quite the opposite, as there is a rupture between the student and the teacher and tangible absence of affinity between them, and there is differentiation between one student and another because of family affiliation and respective status or owing to well-off status, also there is a semi-public bribe practiced without fear from the Ministry's retributions, in addition to complaints in some colleges from the way teachers deal with students, while some print the courses in the form of fascicles different from the official ones and teach per them, and others force the students to belong to a particular party while a third threatens the students and extort them by buying and selling within the house of science without being deterred on the part of the Ministry. Then, the Ministry is required to be gracious enough and follow the example of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, so we hope from the Ministry of Education to take into account these problems for the sake of our children and to be just with them, come to their support and stand by them in this big ordeal to behave as expected by all and this is what we hope to be answered by the said Ministry, because the young of today are the leaders of tomorrow.
