Elections law and the difficult delivery

Nouri Jasim Zaidan
Leader in the CNU

At last, the election law for the coming House of Representatives is born after a tug of war, give-and-take, and pressure from the US embassy and the UN. The law has come into being in the mix system which combines between the two systems of the open-list, so after this difficult and painful and bitter phase of seven lean years went by the Iraqi people a glimpse of some hope loomed at the end of tunnel in order to find out a state of change pouring forth in the interest of Iraqi people. Nevertheless, I am confident that the final say has become today in the hands of Iraqi citizenry because the citizen is the basis of democratic work for he is the one who will cast the vote to place the right man in the right place, a considerable trust charged with him. Therefore, instead of complaining about the poor and unstable situation in Iraq, the solution has become in the hands of the citizen and thus the great opportunity is standing before him to make a change, find the radical and genuine solutions to all difficulties and problems he is experiencing, and to put a conclusive end and limit to all of this endurance.

In conclusion, I would say, o' people of Iraq, the patient and sincere, the opportunity now is yours to make a change and put things in place so do not miss the opportunity. And in order to save Iraq and set the train of going ahead for the real building of Iraq on the right track which would steer everyone to safer and more secure destination.
