Manifesto

The sweeping demonstrations, that overwhelmed the governorates of Iraq due to serious decline in the sector of electricity and for depriving the Iraqi citizen from electric power, are not the product of the moment but came as a result of accumulations that burdened the shoulder of Iraqi citizen over the past years up to a point where he is no longer able to remain silent.

The (electricity uprising), in addition to its being a mass outcry in protest against a bitter reality, represents a public explicit and forthright declaration against the government gross failure in providing the basic services to Iraqi citizen who suffered and is still suffering a lot from limp governmental performance which is wrapped in corruption and cronyism.

And we assert anew here that the message launched by the Iraqi masses this time thru their uprising will prompt all who allege true patriotism to stand up to their national duty in becoming courageous and to demand for quick formation of a government representative of  Iraqi masses, their desires and hopes in a better security and service setting, a new reality in which the Iraqis will feel that they have finally harvested what they voted for thru ballot boxes in the 7th of last March elections and which some people are trying to circumvent and deflect them from the desire of Iraqi voter.

Hastening in the formation of a national service government is the most successful solution to ensure security and stability.

We re-confirm that the rise of Iraqi street in (electricity uprising) is only a message to those who failed in the past stage to stands up to their responsibility and give up their offices, assigned to them by the people of Iraq to those who are more efficient and better able to steer the helm of the country, otherwise we may hear about unemployment uprising, orphans uprising, widows uprising and other sorts of protests against the reality of poor service.

We implore God for mercy to the martyrs of electricity uprising and for speedy recovery of the wounded, He Who hears and responds to supplication
