Felicitation of the Secretary-General on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

As we are receiving the days of Eid Al-Fitr, our steadfast people are looking forward to that the days of sufferance, endurance and long awaiting will be culminated in a glimmer of hope to introduce them into a stable and secure future.

Today, and after the passage of more than half a year since holding the legislative elections, attempts to form a government is still marking time while the suffering of our people on the increase at both levels of security and service.

Here, we call on all parties participating in the political process to feel about the suffering of Iraqis and to represent their aspirations they have voiced thru the polls by way of speeding up the formation of a government representative of all Iraqis, far-off egoism, factionalism and indifference to the will of Iraqi voter.

The state of riding the wave of democracy practiced by some people will bring in but more complications and disruptions to the political process. Also, attempts to distort the constitutional provisions to serve this or that party in order to prolong its tenure into which the very voter has facilitated, will not last for long because whoever agreed to enter the political arena per democratic process must adhere to rules and practices it requires.

Iraq today is in need to those who like better than themselves for the sake of people and its prosperity, not for those who wanted to disrupt the political process and shuffle the deck for narrow partisan interests.

We cannot help here but to extend to our people, our Arab and Islamic nations, our warm congratulation on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr, asking God Almighty to cap the patience of Iraqis in the best way for the future of Iraq and prosperity, He Who listens and answers the supplication.

Dr. Nahro Mohammad AbdulKarim Alkasnazan
Secretary-General of CINU
