On the occasion of his winning the presidency of Iraqi Olympic Committee

Spokesperson of the (Youth and Sports Central Office) in the CINU communicated the congratulation of the Secretary-General Dr. Nehru Mohammad Abdel Kareem to the former star of Iraqi team Mr. (Raed Hammoudi) on the occasion of his winning the post of Iraqi Olympic President for the current round.

Also, the spokesperson communicated that the Secretariat wished him success in the task of rearranging the papers which have scattered in various kinds of sports, especially those in which Iraq was the forerunner and attained honorable results on the long history of sports.

At the same time, the CINU secretariat called on the new president of the Iraqi Olympic Committee to spare no effort in standing against sport politicization in Iraq by removing its institutions from the culture of sectarian allocation, and to replace it with the culture of national unity aimed to place Iraq name above all other considerations. Thus, we hope that his era will see the treatment of many errors that accompanied so far sport activities, and a new bright page is heralded in Iraqi sports.
